Poor
Please don't go to Commerce for 18 hours of graduate level math because it was the worst decision I've made! Regardless, this class is hard but Prof. Ou is nice enough. He gives a review and about 40-50% of the test is verbatim from the review. If you work hard enough and did well in Discrete, you can pass this class. I believe there are far easier ways to get 18 grad hours of Math! Go elsewhere.
Awful
Professor Yelin teaches like literature class. I suggest that you take someone else.
Awful
Passing his class is not difficult, but if you want to get an A, prepare to memorize the word-to-word definitions he gives in his lectures and on his reviews. When it comes to definitions and proofing any questions he asks in tests, he wants word for word on his test paper. He's also a tough grader who assigns a lot of homework. Wishing you luck if you're planning to take this!
Awful
Dr. Ou is a very strict grader. He's gotten to the point where he doesn't care about the content of the paper, but rather how it was written. If you write something that isn't exactly the same as what he wrote in the reviews, he will always deduct points. He's very unaccommodating as well even though it was pandemic! In class, he was condescending to the students and was basically an ordinary teacher.
