    A weeklong camp for youth artists 9-13 years old to learn photographic techniques including digital + film camera systems

    macro photography

    long exposure and cyanotypes. At the end of the week students have a portfolio of their work and have developed personalized ways of seeing and documenting the world around them.

    Name The Fear

    Successfully crowdfunded a visual score + album alongside The Cowards Choir for Name The Fear through PledgeMusic.\n\nFollowing the fundraising campaign's success

    a 45-minute film was produced

    edited and presented at venues throughout the east coast including Brooklyn NY

    Film Camp is a community program designed to teach youth creators in southern Appalachia age 9-17 the value + power of visual literacy

    production and community engagement.\n\nCampers worked side-by-side with a professional production company

    award-winning filmmakers and University-level film professors selected for their talent in the film industry and ability to build strong working relationships with the campers and develop their individual voices.\n\nCampers worked in small groups to develop a script

    produce

    direct and edit a film over the course of a week. Film Camp provided access to professional camera

    lighting

    sound and grip equipment to help campers tell their own stories

    develop film knowledge and work as part of a team.\n\nThe final night of each week films created are screened for free to the public at the Wilkes Art Gallery in North Wilkesboro

    Selected to develop

    design and paint a large-scale mural featuring scenes throughout the history of Wilkes County as a part of Downtown North Wilkesboro's revitalization plan and featured in the Wilkes County Farmer's Market where public events are held throughout the year. Funding provided by the Wilkes Art Gallery

    $500 Days of Summer Music Video Project

    $500 Days of Summer is a high concept

    low budget music video project for bands and artists.\n\nFor the project

    artists receive a complete music video package selected from multiple concepts

    a professional filming session over the course of a day devoted to their project and other accouterments including promotional photos and behind-the-scenes documentation of the production to use for promotional purposes.\n\nEach music video with be concept-based

    with 5 slots available for artists to apply for the 2012 session.\n\nFor more information on the project
