Good
You watch movies for credit. He gives two tests and one paper. They are due at the end. He also has quizzes that require a textbook with an access code. If you respect Foster he will respect you.

The A is if you actually stay awake during lecture and movies. This old man knows his film history though. Watch movies and take tests. Not an easy A but an easy B.

Prof. Foster is alright. He gives online quizzes, thorough lectures, essay assignments, final, and midterm. He also gives a few extra credits. You should pass this class as long as you go to class, enjoy movies, pay attention, and complete assignments. I really appreciate the knowledge he shared during his class and I still use the skills I've learned for other areas.
Awesome
Prof. Foster has clear grading criteria and he gives few assignments only. He's amazing! He's also LGBTQ friendly.
Poor
The classes are not that bad, but because Foster lacks the energy to teach his students and talk about things that are probably not important for the subject. Everyone actually just sleeps on him, but there isn't much work he gives. If you read the textbook, listen to the lectures and watch the movie that he recorded, you will definitely take the class. Easy but boring class!
Awesome
Prof. Foster's class wasn't bad at all. I suggest you really read the book and label the subtext in your book with stickies. Also, watch the movies he shows. He gives an essay, but I don't feel like he actually reads it because it was a summer class with 80 students and he was able to give back our essays in 2 days, so I would just suggest for you to think about your topic sentences well.
Awful
Prof. Foster's class was very dull. He seems to lack energy when teaching. Everyone's actually just zoning out in class. If you listen, you get an A. I honestly expected more tho!
Good
I took Professor Foster during winter. We only had the midterm and the final test, as well as an essay about a film of our choice. Other than that, it was easy to attend the class, listen to his lectures, then watch a movie. The negative side is, the textbook is expensive. You can't get it used because you need a passcode for his online quizzes.
