Professor Goodwin is a good professor. I is easy to understand the lectures and videos. There is a weekly short response quiz online. I recommend to be well prepared for the three largest assignments. midterm, final, and an essay end of the semester.

Professor Goodwin makes people uncomfortable to talk because he is so rude. It is not that there is much chance to talk since he lectures from the moment class starts until the very end. He assigns way too much reading and weekly quizzes that are graded harshly. He does not seem to care about students at all.

Professor Goodwin is a tough grader. The Teacher's Assistant does all the work. You can also fall asleep while he talks because he's not even teaching.

Good

This class can be pretty tough. You're supposed to take a reading quiz every week and only 10% of us are awarded a full score of 3 out of 3, as per him. Also, he doesn't do the grading. Class time is mostly open talk about the chapters we've already read. He loves to challenge every single point made, playing devil's advocate. So don't think he's picking on you because he thinks you're mistaken.
