Professor Laverty' slides are just for reading. So, you don't need to go to class. He will help you outside of class, if you ask. It's an open book exam too. Just do the work and you'll get high 80's. The only negative thing about him is, he doesn't show up to class often.

Good
All tests, including the final, are open book. It's easy to do good as long as you keep up with notes and do the practice questions. The lectures aren't mandatory and he just reads off the slides, but I recommend going because that's where he explains how to do the computer assignments.
