Personally, my fave type of history is Early American. Even though our class was at 8 am, I was very interested with the course because I can see from Prof. White that he is very passionate about it. His classes are lecture-based and he occasionally puts you in groupworks, but he teaches the subject well. History isn't for everyone but he makes everything interesting and worthwhile.
