It was a boring but easy class with him. His lectures about WWII (a supposedly interesting topic) were more boring than a six hour series on the magna carta. He also randomly yells during lectures which might really shock you at first and piss you off towards the end of the semester.

Prof. Murphy is a passionate teacher who will really amaze you with his knowledge. He assigns online open book quizzes and is always willing to help. However, for honors, he can be quite tough but a very fair teacher. There's quite a ton of reading to do, but he understands that not everyone can easily grasp the concepts, so he explains it well. He's honestly one of the best history professors out there!
