Prof. Carney is a great teacher. She offers unlimited opportunities for extra credit and she is extremely understanding about assignments. There is a decent amount of readings but she would help you get through the required material. Her classes are interesting because of her charismatic personality. For an easy A, take this class.

Average

Prof. Carney gives 350-400 word blog posts weekly. She started taking roll call on the 6th week. She told the class that she was a bias grader, so she refused to allow us to put our names on assignments. Her midterm and final were very rigid. She assigned and explained the midterm two days before it was due. Her lectures can be pretty boring, but she really knows how to talk. She also gives extra credit opportunities and a 4-page research paper.

Poor

Professor Carneys lectures were inspiring, however her organization and assignments are ineffective. The content of this course is something every American should be taught and made aware of. The requirements were very unclear and given on the last minute. On the other hand, you somehow do better in this class putting in no effort than any at all. You wont know your grade until finals.
