Awful
Prof. Shi would expect you to know everything because he feels like he explains things clearly. We showed up to review sessions where he'd only skip a lot of questions because he keeps on saying that we should already know those things.
Poor
Dr. Shi is not a particularly pleasant professor in this class; he simply talks to himself during the lecture. Homework was very unclear and we took forever to finish the lab. He sometimes even blames us for not paying attention in class and being unhelpful with the stuff he had previously discussed.
Awful
I can't believe Professor Shi's class is an introduction. Get ready for CHEGG and study materials that will not help you on tests. Also, the exams and homework were formatted poorly and difficult to do. If you take this course, then good luck. I suggest you pray for yourself.
Average
Doctor Shi is a boring lecturer. He babbles a lot during lectures, which sometimes makes him difficult to understand. But he knows what he's doing, and he can be helpful if you ask for help. The grading of the midterm was tough, but the difficulty was fine. Obviously, there is a lot of material, so don't procrastinate with this course.
Awful
Without a doubt, this class was just horrible. If you're new to circuitry, coding, or computer logic, brace yourself. I can't believe they say this is a basic course. The teacher is tough to understand and the tests are way too hard. Steer clear if you can.
