DeLaFuente
San Antonio, Texas
Victoria “Vicki” DeLaFuente brings a wealth of experience to Nursing. Vicki has over 25 years as a Registered Nurse (RN) working with newborns to geriatrics. She has a passion to be an advocate for each and every patient she encounters.
As an exceptional educator, Vicki strives to encourage nurses at the various stages of their professional development. She has taught in a variety of settings and facilitates teaching with warmth and humor. Her favorite teaching memories are when her students have an “aha” moment after struggling with a difficult concept.
Vicki received her BSN from the University of NE Medical Center in Omaha and her MSN from CSU, Sacramento. Vicki was Active Duty in the Air Force Nurse Corps for six years where she learned invaluable lessons about teamwork. Although her military service was many years ago, her experience there as well as family experiences have given her a passion for supporting our current (and previous) military members. Her thesis “Wearing Their Boots Back Home: Spouses’ Perspectives on Deployment” provided a view into the role families play in supporting military members.
Previously living in Northern CA, Vicki is looking forward to her transition to a Southern TX lifestyle!
