Hydraulic Fracturing Research Group
Texas Tech University’s Hydraulic Fracturing Research Group (HFRG) is a multi-disciplinary
collaborative research cluster that is comprised of more than 50 researchers from 14 departments
as well as the School of Law. The focus of the HFRG is the intersection of water-rock interactions
hydraulic fracturing technologies and educational outreach. The HFRG is divided into three sub-groups: Chemistry
Materials & Technological Developments; The Lifecycle of Water; and Public Engagement & Education.
