No. 3
pp. 1-15\n\nAbstract\nThis research discusses information systems (IS) maintainability in terms of control
reliability
\nuser participation
and training (CRUT). Dependable IS have the potential to protect\norganizational information as well as data in cases of emergencies. This paper reviews the\napplication of the total quality management (TQM) construct to suit organizational IS. The\nTQM elements that are mentioned in this research are integrity
training
employee involvement
\nand customer focus (ITEC). The research objective is to discover how organizational\nmanagement may better preserve the quality of the IS they adopt and how their participation in\nIS development could impact quality maintenance. A qualitative research approach is proposed\nto explore the CRUT model in terms of IS maintenance.\n\n
Information Systems Maintenance: The Application of Total Quality Management Construct
A quantitative research study examined leader and subordinate roles and their emotional intelligence factors (emotions
attitudes
and behaviors). The study’s objective was to also determine if Emotional Intelligence levels of superiors and subordinates within workplace environments have an impact on organizational success. Further
the study’s intent was to determine if leaders and workers who apply emotional intelligence have received E.I training and/or to determine if a need exists for incorporating E.I. training as professional development. The quantitive methodology for this study involved surveying leaders and subordinates within organizational and institutional settings
using a Likert Type instrument for collecting survey responses. The importance of the study will contribute to the body of knowledge on Emotional Intelligence
training and professional development; and assist in determining a need for E.I. training and professional development for current
upcoming or aspiring leaders. \n
A Study of Emotional Intelligence and Self Leadership
Abstract:\nIn the United States (U.S.) small businesses create job opportunities for millions of citizens and non-citizens authorized to work in the U.S. In recent decades
female-owned businesses failed within the first few years of start-up because of a lack of capital (U.S. Census Bureau
2006). A quantitative research methodology was employed to determine a correlation of human
financial and social capital (independent variables) and capital resources (networks to access capital for business
e.g. professional relationships
mentoring/support groups
social networks
events
organizations
institutions
venture capitalist
et. al) (dependent variable) needed for starting a business. The study focused on current and aspiring ethnic (African American & Hispanic) female entrepreneurs seeking capital for start-up businesses; and to determine general self-efficacy. The results of the study revealed a statistical significant relationship exists between human
financial
and social capital and capital resources.
