I was the full-time fencing teacher and taught seven to eight sections of fencing each semester. I also organized and coached the student recreation fencing club
which boasted over 100 members when I left to teach in San Antonio. During this period I organized numerous fencing tournaments
clinics and summer youth camps.

Discipline Coordinator over one academic discipline and given 40% release from teaching duties. I was in the classroom the remaining 60% of the time. My duties as the Discipline Coordinator included supervising over twenty full and part time faculty and staff
managing complex health and wellness facilities
developing and managing an annual budget. I also continued to develop a small student fencing program and deepen my study and teaching of yoga.

I was the faculty elected Chair (manager) for two consecutive three-year terms and received 100% release from teaching to manage five complex academic departments with over 100 employees

I taught a variety of Kinesiology activity and lecture classes for academic credit. During this time this time I expanded my teaching expertise from my specialty in fencing to include yoga and have accumulated over 400 hours of yoga training. I also added other KINE subjects to my repertoire including Health and Fitness lecture courses and other fitness activities like weight training and physical conditioning. I sponsored a combination student/community fencing program that was a result of a million dollar grant from the US Olympic Committee and a resulting partnership between Palo Alto College and the San Antonio Sports Foundation. This programs was called the \"Community Olympic Development Program\".
