I found that Professor Schaller seemed frazzled and distracted. We never got to to board work, graded slowly and the class often exceeds hours. The class grade is heavily reliant on the exams. Something you should know it that even if you get answer correct you are docked upto 75% for not doing it her way. For example use must use ratio- proportion and reduce fractions like she wants you too.

Professor Schaller's teaching style is not effective in learning. She has been found by some students to be contradictory to the mission statement of Contra Costa College.

Prof. Schaller's exams are very tough. She can be really confusing because she tells you to focus on her slides and just refer back to the book but she will actually test you on books as well so you really have to take down notes and do readings. Lectures are quite disorganized and you will actually be bouncing back and forth in an unorderly fashion.
