Tests are pretty easy and they are mostly definition based. He's a pretty nice guy and his lectures are very interesting. There are essays and some in-class assignments, but they aren't really difficult. Overall, it was a very enjoyable and easy class.

Professor Mensink is a great guy and awesome. He knows his stuff and class is not boring just like him. Lectures are on PowerPoint he also upload it online. He shows films on the occasion and get some group for points. Gives easy paper, four tests. Make sure you do it, they are easy. He also provides a lot of extra credit. Hands down Professor for a great time.

For my Criminal Justice Systems class I always read the textbook, however the lectures seemed to incorporate the more critical information for the tests. On the tests there is typically a couple of questions from the textbook that are unimportant, and strangely specific, which made it difficult to know what to pay attention to when reading.

This class is built up similarly to his Introduction to Sociology class. Extra credit is available through random in-class assignments, two papers that aren't difficult but time consuming, and examinations that are almost identical to the powerpoints. His lectures, on the other hand, are really interesting.

Awful

Mensink doesn't seem to be interested in teaching at all. For lectures, he sits in his chair and reads the slides word for word. There are no test reviews given, and there is a lot of reading. Even after studying, tests are challenging, but he does give additional credit. Course paper is easy though!
