Health & Safety department we created a system that would give our Facilities
Housing
Information Technology
Project Department and Property Management a clear understanding of construction materials containing asbestos early in the project planning phase as well as indicate where disclosure communication for our tenants (on and off-campus housing properties) was necessary. Our new process helped streamline project abatement
establish preliminary budgets and enabled consistent communication with our community when questions arose. We ultimately created:\n\n1. An Asbestos visual map indicating whether or not a room may or may not contain any construction materials with asbestos.\n2. An Asbestos Data Matrix based on construction materials that could potentially contain asbestos. \n3. A standardized manner for storing our asbestos data.\n
