Awful
Prof. O'brien is really nice, but I don't think he's capable of teaching. He doesn't set goals clearly and is very hard to recognize what you are supposed to get out of his lecture styles. He is willing to help you, but he doesn't really know how to explain things properly, esp. to beginners. You have to independently learn to use the program R.
Average
Doctor O'Brien is a cool guy and knows a lot about the subject. His lectures get really boring and confusing. He's a fair grader, but it always felt like I had to teach myself the material. Tests are hard too. However, I don't think he's the best professor, at least for this subject. I'd maybe avoid his class if possible.
