Thesis: Role of Fc Receptor-Like proteins in immune responses. Molecular cloning of two members of the FCRL family
FCRLB and FCRL6; established FCRL6 as a biomarker for effector and effector-memory T cell expansion during HIV infection;u established FCRL4 as a receptor for IgA and FCRL5 as a receptor for IgG; demonstrated association of FCRLA with intracellular immunoglobulins in B cells; phenotypic characterization of FCRLA deficient mice in normal immune responses and pristane-induced lupus.\n\nAlso: studied in vivo roles of TLR3 and MDA5 function in B cell activation; studied molecular interactions of WU-CAM (TIGIT) in follicular Th cells; intravital microscopy measuring neutrophil chemotaxis in response to PI3-kinase delta inhibition; measurements of mouse NK cell function in response to viral ligands.
