Timothy Ay is a veteran IT executive with deep experience in Higher Education and non-profit organizations. He has demonstrated expertise in analyzing, designing, developing, and integrating, new technologies to meet established business needs and strategic initiatives. As an educator, he has engaged Systems Analysis & Design students in experiential learning projects that assist local non-profit organizations to achieve their goals utilizing the salesforce.com platform.
In his current role, as the Director for roundCorner's Data Center of Excellence, he leads a team that assists organizations migrating legacy applications to the Salesforce platform by providing strategy, guidance, and expertise with respect to data migration, real time integration, and data analytics.
In his former role as the CTO of Villanova University, Mr. Ay specialized in aligning technology with business strategy, enterprise architecture, disaster recovery, security, and network and communications systems. He lead the enterprise wide CRM initiative to provide current tools and technologies to the University’s Advancement Office, School of Business, College of Nursing, EMBA program, and the President’s Office.
His responsibilities included deploying cloud technologies within the University's technology infrastructure, the planning and coordination of the Y2K efforts, development of enterprise IT disaster recovery plans, and the design and implementation of the campus wide network. He is experienced in smart card technologies and access systems, voice over IP and converged network architecture and technologies.
Mr. Ay has also served as an adjunct Faculty Member for Villanova University's Computing Science and Business Schools for more than 25 years. As a technologist and a faculty member, Mr. Ay is experienced in a wide variety of educational technologies including: electronic textbooks, Learning Management Platforms, collaboration tools, and teaching/content delivery technologies.
