3 papers for the semester and a final. Loved his class. He is a funny, quirky guy, super passionate. The class is spent in a discussion about the short assigned readings. Fair grader, tells you exactly what you need to do.

Poor

Professor Mellette is funny but odd. There are few grades in the class and on the few papers you do have he is a tough grader. Don't take him if you aren't a skilled writer. You have to read a lot before every class so make sure to get the books. You always have to go to class because he will take attendance and does random in class assignments.

Awesome

I loved Professor Mellette, very knowledgeable person who wanted his students to learn a lot. Just do the required readings, they'll help a ton and they aren't too difficult or too long at all. There weren't any pop quizzes, and there were only three papers and an all-written final. The questions were pretty easy so long as you read everything.
