Director of the Community Design Center:
I seek to identify variety of Montana community projects that will challenge the students to address community needs related to population growth, local resources, sustainable strategies in design and construction, aging infrastructures and new technologies and materials.
I teach students to actively listen to the community’s issues and concerns then follow the needs and desires through development of alternative concepts that the students present to the client. CDC provides clients with conceptual drawings, renderings, digital and physical models, and a summary report document that contains project resources including original research and case studies for use in acquiring grants and federal or local funding.
