Awesome
Prof. Thayer is very helpful! Exams are tough and application-based. You'll fail if you don't know the material well. I'm not a life science major and I had to take this so it was really hard for me because you'll have to invest a lot of time into this class.
Awesome
Prof. Thayer is amazing! He's pretty understanding and he makes the class really fun! 10/10 would recommend.
Average
No matter which professor teaches BIOL 1124, the course is taught the same way. It might be a fun lesson if you enjoy biology, but for the most part, just pay attention and study and you'll be good. Case studies are difficult, but they are manageable if you work in a group and ask lots of questions. Tests can be managed if you study and go to the action center. There are a lot of learn smarts and a couple of connect quizzes.
Good
Doctor Hallidayschult was an outstanding instructor. He spends so much time and really cares about making sure that every student fully understands the content. Case studies and clicker questions are really hard, and you often work in groups though. I suggest you go to the action center since it does help with the class. Take the time to study and you'll do great. Just an advice, draw out the cycles a lot, it will help.
