Dr. Teddy A. Bandima is an academic whose reading style is eclectic. His background is international studies. He has also read a lot about indigenous people around the world and the numerous changes that continue to affect them, including impacts of colonialism, migration, diseases, genocide, racism, poverty, illiteracy, oppression, globalization, marginalization, and political and socioeconomic challenges. Dr. Bandima has worked as a lecturer at the University of Saskatchewan. He is experienced in qualitative research, policy development and implementation, and education management. During his time as a doctoral student, Dr. Bandima conducted his doctoral research with sub-Saharan African university students who had overcome what had seemed to be insurmountable challenges. With this experience, Dr. Bandima has gained interest in the motivation of youth and individuals in the midst of hardships, and in developing policies that can help them succeed in their ultimate dreams and contribute positively to society.
