I'm currently a full-time Instructor and FLSL Program Coordinator for Northern Illinois University in order to facilitate with students improving their knowledge, research and leadership abilities as well as mine own in American Sign Language.
I'm also a Faculty Advisor for Alpha Phi Omega Co-ed Service Fraternityand Deaf Pride Student Organization.
Student Manger of Outdoor Adventures
- Assisting Program Operations of the Adventures Center at the Student Recreation Center
- Prepare and complete projects related to re-organization of equipment and resources to be more hands-on and accessible for customers
- Supervise desk attendants performance of daily duties, assign tasks, and monitor performance of rental check-out and returns including contacts and reservations
- Manage rental equipment of over 1,000 pieces including inventory, maintenance and purchases
- Review and revise departmental policies, create manuals regarding rentals and maintenance
- Ensure that everyday operations at the Center goes smoothly.
Lifeguard
- Certified in Professional CPR for infants, children and adults, AED and First Aid
- Certified in Waterfront Skills
- Oversee participants of open swim and reserved swim including students, community, and children
- Monitor the area and maintain a strict watch on patrons around the swimming area and ensure that all rules and regulation pertaining to swimming are followed and testing the water for chlorine and PH levels
- Implement Lifeguarding skills when necessary

-Part time instructor for American Sign Language IV during the Spring Semester
-Develop and structure a curriculum for American Sign Language Courses
-Help student's development of foreign language skills
-Advise students when they need help with the course and on campus activities

- Prepared and completed lesson plans for iBelong and T'NT programs and facilitate lesson plans at local high schools
- Planned marketing projects and events with supervisor to spread awareness of services such as community relocation and case management
- Managed intake documents and case notes of over twenty clients
Accommodations Specialist Intern
- Prepare and complete projects related to general and assistive technology for students with disabilities
- Administer intakes for new and current students to use services provided by the department
- Provide counseling and advising to the student population
- Developing and teaching American Sign Language courses to faculty and staff and assist with vocational skills course: Computer Skills II to students
- Review and revise departmental policies
Camp Director
- Managed the selection of staff members through structured interviews and directed daily tasks and duties that included assigned groups, night duty, break schedules and activity preparations for staff members
- Inspected files of campers in order to approve them of their stay that included allergy information, passed the physical examination, has health insurance and emergency contact information
- Coordinate activities with camp site directors at three different locations for the weeks that we are stationed there
-Continue being a role model to the campers.
