I’m exploring writing as a way to use my years as an educator to actively engage in topics which interest me. As a volunteer in my community and state, I have been involved in a world-wide educational historical group, on the Board of Directors for the teacher's union, pre-school, and local public radio, leader for a Girl Scout troop, musician in a number of ensembles, and part of the regular crew backstage for the Art's Council. Now that I have to take a little more time to rest between activities for my health, I still look for opportunities to give back through sewing, painting, gardening and similar hobbies that still allow me to pass on joy to others while using my brain and talents to their fullest. Writing is another craft through which I can explore the world and perhaps find a new career.
