Professor Johnson is the right choice for American Literature. However, in some lectures he goes overboard, explaining topics with so much wording and symbolism that it can confuse rather than help. His grading system consists of two exams and an essay. You must participate with questions about the readings. It is not necessarily a difficult class, but you must read everything assigned to you in order to get a good grade.
