  French Lecturer/Foreign Languages and International Studies Academic Adviser (2008-2013)

  As adviser, I helped students select course work which both fulfilled their graduation requirements and interests. I monitored progress to degree and academic performance and coordinated with other departments as required by the interdisciplinary nature of the program. I helped locating suitable programs to fulfill mandatory study abroad requirements as well as funding sources for the students. I helped organizing booths and presentations for university-wide events and met with prospective students.

  ESL Instructor

  As ESL Instructor, I taught intermediate and advanced, reading, listening, composition and grammar classes to non-native speakers of English seeking to take language proficiency exams to enter American universities. I coordinated with colleagues among the various levels and participated in group grading of compositions. I designed classes based on textbooks but also movies, books and podcasts to add cultural themes to our discussions.

  French Lecturer/Senior French Lecturer (August 2016)

  As lecturer, I have taught the initial 4 semester language sequence as well as upper-division courses in cultural heritage and evolution, literary surveys and advanced oral/written expression. I have worked with my colleagues on the initial language articulation using Modern Language Association guidelines for language proficiency progression and evaluation. I have redesigned the labs of the first two semesters of language to be completely online and the courses are now taught as hybrids. I have recruited and trained the language assistants both to teach the labs and to now grade, conduct oral interviews and provide tutoring.

  Team taught the French 1-4 (AP) curriculum. Responsible for boarding school
  duties such as monitoring study hall, cafeteria and weekend and evening on-call
  duties. Assisted with the swimming program.
