Served as MSW Coordinator in 2008-2009 academic year. Taught hybrid courses using distance education technologies in Abingdon, VA and Roanoke, VA. Supervised MSW students in conducting independent research projects. Served on Faculty Senate in 2008, 2010-2016. Served on Faculty Senate Executive Council in 2014-2016. Vice President of Faculty Senate 2016-2017.
Evaluation Analyst
As Evaluation Analyst, assisted in writing successful federal grant application for enhancement of state’s performance measurement systems (CSAT TOPPS II). Responsible for generating performance reports using SAS programming language and assisting programs in using performance data to improve outcomes.
Assistant Professor
Taught MSW courses in research methods and statistics, mental health policy, substance abuse treatment & prevention, substance abuse policy, social welfare policy. Served as academic advisor for 10-15 graduate students each year. Served on dissertation committees and as reader for doctoral qualifying exams. Served on Faculty Senate 2003-2005. Participated in self-study and site visit for CSWE reaccreditation.
