Steven Moss co-founded a successful resource economics and public policy analysis consulting firm; founded an innovative environmental equity nonprofit organization, and has been awarded Fulbright and W.K. Kellogg fellowships, among other honors. He served as a Budget Analyst for the U.S. Office of Management and Budget; as a Budget Advisor for the U.S. Treasury Department; co-authored A Guide for Reviewing Environmental Policy Studies; and teaches courses in economics and policy analysis. He led efforts to develop what was for a time the largest privately-financed solar photovoltaic array in San Francisco; the first demand-response program catering to small businesses, which at its peak had 10 megawatts enrolled; and siting of what was for a period the largest solar PV facility in East Africa. He's managed projects in India, Niger, Senegal, and Rwanda, where he's presently developing sustainable, working class, housing.
Steven once ran for San Francisco supervisor. coming within 200 votes of winning. He's the author of The Daddy Handbook.

M.Cubed provides policy analysis and resource economics consulting services to public and private sectors clients. Past projects include examining the financial implications of water conservation measures; intervening in electric and natural gas utility regulatory proceedings cases on behalf of farmers, small businesses, low-income families, and environmental organizations; conducting analyses support native American water rights claims in California and New Mexico; developing innovative programs focusing on addressing environmental equity issues as part of the development of cap-and-trade polices under California's Assembly Bill 32; and estimating the economic and fiscal consequences of a large number of proposed policies and regulations, including related to taxation, health, and child care.

Executive Director
SF Power pilots innovative programs that improve local environmental and economic conditions. In particular, the organization helps small businesses and low-income families lower their utility expenses and reduce their ecological footprint; and provides policy makers with demonstrative ways to solve complex resource issues. SF Power has trained and employed dozens of individuals as energy, water, and climate change auditors/installers; saved low-income families and small businesses millions of dollars in lower utility bills; and helped close two polluting power plants.
Modeled after the villages developed for orphans in Israel after World War II, ASYV provides a comprehensive approach to transforming orphan youth in Rwanda into future leaders. Steven is currently leading efforts to develop for-profit enterprises to provide training and jobs to Village graduates, and contribute to the nonprofit's financial sustainability. Past successes include helping to site a large photovoltaic field in Rwanda; current efforts focus on developing affordable housing in Kigali.
