Awesome
Kirkland is a wonderful professor. Before you go to class, read the chapters you will discuss. You will figure out how to pass the quizzes which are all online. Just understand what you are reading and pay attention during his lecture. He offers enough extra credit.
Awesome
Just a wonderful teacher. Just get ready to read and look through the book. Gave just two tests and four quizzes, all of them on the syllabus. Just study and you'll pass.
Awful
Professor Kirkland is a pretty bad teacher. He teaches by making random students present information, which makes it pretty hard to take notes. Group project is pretty bad too. No clear communication with students on what the project really entails, and requires twenty plus students in group to all present. Positive thing is, he gives few pop quizzes which are not too hard.
Average
If you will take the class of Professor Kirkland, read the book even if he will not require it and research the cases ahead of time. He's a believer on Socratic method. For him, if you won't work, you won't pass. Pop quizzes were easy and you only have 10 minutes to answer it. So, you must be smart about them. I advise you do the extra credit. He's not my teach of choice but he's reasonable.
Average
There are opportunities for extra credit as well as five quizzes and a final. Just one easy project that work on in a group. There weren't any readings, and while you do have to study each case you'll pass.
Awesome
I really enjoyed Professor Kirkland's class. His assignments are straight forward same as the quizzes, group and final projects. If you follow his lecture, you will pass. Those are interesting, so it's not hard to pay attention. His teaching style is laid back, but you still learn a lot. I'll give him a perfect score of ten.
Poor
The way the class is taught feels like a discussion, because students share ideas about different topics. The semester felt disorganized making it really hard to keep notes. Even though he doesn't ask for a textbook, I think it's a good idea to get one. You kind of get what he says in the moment, but afterwards, you're left wondering. Despite all that, he's pleasant enough but clearly doesn't show a lot of concern for the students.
