IRB Chair
As chair of the IRB I am responsible for reviewing all research at the university that involves human participants. The review process is to ensure that research on human participants adheres to the following principles: 1. Respect for persons; 2. Beneficence; and 3. Justice.
This position is part of a team that is currently made up of an excellent administrative team (including one of the best Compliance Liaisons I have ever had the opportunity to work with), a number of top-notch faculty from multiple disciplines in the university, and an engaged community member.
Professor
This position requires constructing syllabi, delivering content, and evaluating student performance. As a part of this, maintaining currency in the field of speech-language pathology is essential. Additional responsibilities include directing graduate research projects, writing (I've co-authored four books), and service to the university.
