It's honestly a boring class with Prof. Solomon. He talked more than he should've for a seminar class. He didn't even give an opportunity for meaningful discussion among students. Material was honestly interesting but the way he taught it was very monotonous and disengaging. I wouldn't recommend taking him.

Professor Solomon is a nice guy, and he gives great feedback on essays. He dominated the conversation more than you would hope for from a seminar class. The grade is based on essays and participation. The in-class content was basically a repeat of what we read in his book. The content was interesting, though the class was somewhat boring.
