I am a dedicated, self-starter who believes in student motivation and creating a low-threat, high energy environment in which active learning takes place. Thriving on process improvement as well as self and student development with a strong ability to execute strategic initiatives and meet set goals, I look forward to advancing the field of higher education.
LEADERSHIP AND TEACHING PHILOSOPHY:
My leadership philosophy is closely tied to my personal and professional codes of ethics which revolve around being non-judgmental and open to others in their beliefs, actions and thoughts. Living by the motto “live and let live”, I commit to doing the right things even if they tend to be unpopular. The basis of this code is rooted deep within my religious beliefs and within the morals taught throughout my upbringing.
My teaching philosophy is built upon the same foundations of my personal code and adds to it, the rules and expectations of the institution. It is my firm intent to be a resource, guide, mentor, and portal of knowledge to my students and fellow educators. I will provide accurate information and admit that I do not know everything. I will show my students how to find information, creating limitless possibility for learning. Always acting with the best interest of my students at heart, I will be fair and objective in grading and will not allow personality conflicts, should they arise, contest this philosophy.
