I am a public historian and an assistant professor in the History Department at the University of Southern Indiana. I am teaching courses in both US History and Public History. I received both my Ph.D. and M.A. from Loyola University Chicago, and my B.A. from Earlham College in Richmond, Indiana.
I am also a practiced public historian who has worked on various historic preservation projects, within museum settings, and with local organizations and people.
My current research examines the intersection between historic interpretation and technology at open air museums. I am also investigating ethics in public history.
