Dr. Srivi Ramasubramanian (PhD. Penn State University) is Professor of Communication, Affiliated Professor of Women’s & Gender Studies, and former Associate Dean for Climate & Inclusion at Texas A&M University. She is cofounder of Media Rise (a nonprofit for meaningful media for social change), Director of the Difficult Dialogues on Campus Race Relations, and Convener of the campus-wide Inclusive Pedagogy Workshop Series. Her areas of expertise are diversity, identity, intercultural communication, implicit bias, inclusive pedagogy, and media literacy. She conducts interactive workshops on navigating difficult topics in the workplace (such as race relations, politics, and sexual harassment), work-family balance, and prejudice and implicit bias reduction. Her research, teaching, service, community engagement, and advocacy work have been recognized with several awards including the Liberal Arts Cornerstone Faculty Fellowship ’18-’20, NAMLE Outstanding Researcher Award, Center for Teaching Excellence Faculty Fellowship, NCA Mass Comm Division Service Award, Graduate Faculty Mentoring Award, ACE (Accountability, Climate & Equity) Award for Women’s Progress, and Outstanding Diversity Team Award.

Associate Dean for Climate & Inclusion
As Associate Dean for Climate & Inclusion, I facilitate programmatic initiatives to enhance the college’s climate, oversee diversity-related initiatives, advise the dean on all matters related to climate & inclusion and serve as a resource to 12 department heads and 5 program directors. My efforts focus on recruitment, retention, equity, and climate, especially for underrepresented students, faculty, and staff in the college.

Visiting Associate Professor
As a visiting associate professor at NUS, I taught an honors course on transnational/global media and media industries. I also participated in the Voices of Hunger project as well as the foreign domestic workers' photovoice project.

I've been a diversity educator and researcher for more than 14 years, specializing in race relations, gender, sexuality, and religion. I am available to conduct workshops, training, and talks on diversity, identity, intersectionality, inclusion, and work-family balance for universities, K-12 schools, nonprofits, industries, and other organizations.
