My objectives are to strengthen the MLS program at McNeese State University to aid it in becoming one of the strongest programs available.

Plan and teach junior and senior levels CLS classes and labs. Work with the Program Director to assist senior level students with internship applications and completion. Assist Program Director with hospital and laboratory relationships and student maintenance. Advise students on degree plans and class choices. Currently serving as sponsor for CLS student club.
Medical Technologist
Performed assays in all departments on research primates. All work had to be correlated to match each study- fine attention to detail was required. Also, aided in set-up of LIS system, including entering code and defaults. Was responsible for maintenance of LIS audit trail, and training of new employees on LIS.
Medical Technologist
Worked as a scared new graduate on the night shift- learned very quickly what I needed to accomplish to produce quality work. I had been well trained at McNeese State University and Christus St Patrick Hospital, and by the day shift here at Women's. I learned to always put patient care first, prioritization, and multitasking.

Performed venipunctures, as needed. Performed assays in all departments of lab, including blood bank (immunohematology), microbiology, chemistry, hematology, urinalysis, coagulation, and immunology.
