A member of a research team on an ongoing follow up study evaluating the experiences of students who participate in a graduate level consulting program working with local early childhood educational centers. My involvement includes conducting interviews in person and through Skype, transcription of interviews, coding of data, and report writing. Our research has been presented at NAEYC's 2011 Annual Conference, November 2011, Orlando, FL.

Funded by Los Angeles Universal Preschool (LAUP) Workforce Development Initiative and First5 Los Angeles, Pathways in Early Childhood Education (PECE) is designed for students pursuing careers in the field of Early Childhood Education. I work with community college and four-year universities, including CSUN’s Child and Adolescent Development and Family and Consumer Sciences Departments and UCLA’s Infant development Program, to coordinate programs for both community college and university students who are majoring in Child and Adolescent Development, Family Consumer Sciences or Infant development. As a mentor for community college students majoring in Child Development, I correspond with over 30 students of diverse backgrounds, providing guidance in navigating the community college experience. Providing guidance on services within the campus and community: transfer to university, professional development, and managing family and time as a student. Design and conduct workshops geared towards helping students enhance their knowledge in the field of Child Development.

Teacher for Alef and Bet classes (1st and 2nd grade). Design and implement Judaic and Hebrew language lesson plans based on curriculum. Report grades and communicate with parents. Responsible for classroom management, team collaboration and management of teaching assistants.
