Awesome
I really enjoyed the class of Professor Colby and was able to apply a lot of information in my own classroom. I do appreciate that she changed to a far less expensive book. I did the art based project as a group. It was a lot more fun that way. She will encourage you to know your classmates and to work together. The class was composed of reading journals, discussions and chats.
Good
Honestly, this wasn't my favorite SED class, but it was really taught and designed well. The material was mostly things that I've learned through my district's training. You will get a lot more out of this course if your district isn't very innovative. Be prepared for online discussions, reading/reflections, and weekly chats.
Awesome
I took Dr. Colby's Educational Philosophy course and really enjoyed it. There was an APA style paper and a lot of reading, but basically you got out of the work exactly what you put into it. She has a weekly chat, so you can check with her on timing before you register.
