I loved this class and found it very interesting! Professor Carpenter is amazing! Her lectures are entertaining and easy to pay attention to. Read the textbook, the assigned articles, and your lecture notes for the test and you'll ace it. The assignments are worth a lot, but they are easy and the criteria is clear for them. She provides a lot of extra credit.

When I started this class I had little interest in sociology, but I ended it want to take even more soci classes. Prof. Carpenter is an energized and fun professor, I really appreciated all the effort that I saw her putting into the daily lectures. The class is not easy, but it's college so you need to study. On a good note, she gives great study resources though!

Dr. Carpenter is a great professor and person! Her lectures prepare you for the exams, and the exam review sessions are very helpful too. The exams are difficult, you just have to be on top of the reading assignments and pay attention to the power points.

Professor Carpenter has a very liberal way of teaching. She kept it interesting in that aspect. I really enjoyed going to this class just because it was entertaining. Overall, it's an easy class but interesting as well. If you have a chance, do take her class.

I loved my experience in Professor Carpenter's class. She's very passionate about Sociology. And this passion was passed on to her class. Because of the knowledge I have gained, I am considering taking a minor in Sociology.
