Awful
Prof. Wright is rude. She lacks communication skills and she doesn't care to give you an understanding of the work. She gives a zero easily and quickly. She is over the top with the amount of work she gives. Please do not take her class.
Good
Professor Wright is very thoughtful. She gave opportunities to redo essays and to make up one missed essay. She will hold you accountable though. Do your work and you'll be fine.
Awesome
I would have gotten an A in this course. However, I did not do a few essays. I learned a lot in this class though. I have tools to use in my next class.
Good
After reading some of the other responses, those students who did not do so well in the course, probably was just not proactive or not doing their assignments. Do the work, and you should pass the class. Good prof.
Good
Prof. Wright is very caring about your performance She's also very detailed on how she edits essays. If things are unclear, just ask her questions. She's very open to it. However, her class can be challenging due to workload after the first four weeks. It was definitely a worthwhile experience! I really learned something which is more than I can actually say about some other courses.
Awesome
Prof. Wright really opened my eyes in relation to writing. I've been submitting essays that speak loosely about the topic, but she gave me a strategy to help me improve my writing. My essay scores actually drastically improved!
Good
If you have this class, make sure to participate in the weekly discussions. During that time she will give additional advice for essays. She is a great teacher, but does take some getting used to. Make sure to ask questions as she will respond with tips.
