Good
Professor O'Briend is kind of quirky but a good prof nonetheless. You wouldn't regret taking her as a prof. She takes up 50 mins every lecture. She's very concise, clear, and straightforward. Her exams were pretty easy (be careful though because she likes to include one or two tricky questions to see if you read the textbook) and the other 2 projects were a breeze. I would highly recommend her.
Awesome
I took Shannon for Engineering Communications, and her class was awesome. I expected it to be terrible considering the class has a writing flag, however I was completely incorrect. She was really intriguing, and her lectures prepare you for the real-world, also attendance was required only once a week. I highly recommend her, I would absolutely take her again.
Awesome
Prof. Shannon makes an interesting class and I actually learned a lot through the sem! Class includes a lot of reading and we weren't graded for participation and attendance. Since we only had two homework assignments, most of the final grade is based on exams, but if you follow her study guides, they were actually fairly easy.
Awesome
I loved Professor O'Brien. She was cool. She cared about the government and only cared about making sure you are an educated American. The tests and paper assignments are very easy too. Also, she cares a lot about her students. A month after the semester ended, she sent an email to us seeing if we have any questions about the upcoming election, politics or the system.
Average
The only gradable work in Professor O'Brien's class are the tests and assignments, which consist of questions like, who's the governor of Texas. It's an easy 100. Now, the tests are not difficult at all. But, you just have to know the details. I recommend you to read the textbook because, she talks really fast in lecture. I got an 89 in her class, but she wouldn't give extra credit though.
Good
Professor Shannon is a very straightforward prof. We had lots of busy work (letters, resumes, etc.) but no presentations in class. I liked how she organized the class so that it finished much sooner than the semester's end. The grading criteria are pretty clear as well! You can get an A if you complete the work, obey the rules, and apply her feedback.
Awesome
The simplest A I've ever taken! Two assignments are short and FITB which are only 5 points each. For exams, you get study guides (list of terms). Textbooks and classes are not required. I showed up three times (for three tests) and never received a grade lower than a 96. A lot of the study guide would be familiar to you if you took AP Government in high school.
Awesome
I was always uninterested in politics, but O'Brien's engaging and humorous lectures changed my mind. He helped me to comprehend the significance of American government as well as its fascinating intricacies. An A/A-/B+ is very achievable if you take notes from lectures and learn them. Excellent option for GOV310L, and I would highly recommend taking him!
Good
Overall, O'Brien is a very kind professor. She does, however, occasionally ramble during lectures. Attendance is not required, and she posts her lectures live on the internet. Exams are brief, but they account for 90% of your mark, therefore you cannot afford to fail them. They're also hit-or-miss in terms of success. She is, however, a fair professor; come to her office hours and she will assist you.
Awesome
Shannon was one of my favorite characters. The lesson was very chill, the tests were simple, and the assignments were super easy. You will getat least a B+ if you attend class and take decent notes. Her lessons are really entertaining and she makes everything very simple to understand. There are a number of quizlets available to assist you in studying for this class.
