  Lead Doula/Training Coordinator

  As Lead Doula /Training Coordinator, advise and participate in the development, management, monitoring, and evaluation of the supportive and educational aspects of the Doula Project, as well as curriculum Development and planning for community-based Doula training. Accountable for the following:
  • Receipt and management of referrals
  • Caseload review and assignment of new cases
  • Weekly debriefing with Doulas regarding labor/birth issues, breastfeeding, parenting, client issues, and stress reduction techniques and documentation review
  • Facilitate Community-based Doula trainings and updates
  • Assist in helping Doulas to understand medical procedures and perspectives. Help with navigating the healthcare system and learning to communicate effectively with medical staff
  • Shadowing of Doulas to ensure quality of services and to give feedback
  • Monitor and promote program activities, as well as assist in recruiting new clients
  • Community outreach and partnership development
  • Identify training opportunities and further community exposure for program
  • Compile information for monthly reporting and tracking
