Prof. Pike is a really funny instructor. He also offers extra credit opportunities by going to his office hours and getting your homework check. He likes to joke around in class a lot and he explains everything well. It's quite sad that he doesn't teach 140 or 141.

I attended Pike's class a few years ago, and he is still one of my favorite professors today. He made sure I had a seat in his class the following semester. He was humorous and actually helped me fall in love with math. Professor Pike provided great tutoring, so what he and the tutors taught were consistent. He also gave multiple opportunities for extra credit.

Professor Pike is the best Math professor that I've ever had at Mesa Community College. I had him for Math150,182, and now 220. Yes, he seems cold and intimidating, but he can also be funny and caring if you're willing to put in the effort. Also, there are many opportunities to get extra credit. You don't need a textbook, and he will check your homework for mistakes before it is due.

I took Professor Pike's course online on MAT121. Unless you are good at math and can learn on your own, then take this in person. There's lots of homework with some videos to help you understand and lots of quizzes too. The final exam was difficult and covered everything that we learned. Overall, if you're good at math and can handle a high workload then take his class.

Professor Pike marks every little detail wrong. He told the class on the first day that most of them would fail, which was true. More than half of his class had withdrawn or failed. He will not lend his help. And if he decides right from the start that he doesn't want you to succeed, then you won't succeed, no matter what you do. He's the worst teacher I've ever had.
