I am an active researcher with several peer-reviewed publications and conference presentations. I teach graduate level educational administration courses with a focus on strategic planning and data-informed decision making. I was a member of the University of Saskatchewan's behavioural research ethics board for several years and took on the role of vice chair from 2014-2017.

My responsibilities included: overseeing the ELA budgets and literature inventories, membership in the school leadership council, organizing and leading department meetings. I also taught senior-level English Language Arts courses, media studies, and journalism both in face-to-face and online learning settings.

Coordinator: Research and Measurement
As Coordinator: Research and Measurement, I work closely with the Deputy Director and others to develop and monitor the school division's strategic plan. I analyze assessment and other data and report results both to senior administration and the school board.
Along with my colleague in the assessment department, we administer and monitor assessment completion rates, analyze the results, and work with schools and others to support their understanding and mobilization of the results.
I also work closely with my coordinator colleagues to design and deliver professional development for in-school administrators and classroom teachers.

I earned my Doctorate in the Department of Educational Administration at the University of Saskatchewan. My dissertation was a study of community and interaction in an online high school. I also participated in many other research projects including school effectiveness reviews, policy analyses, and literature reviews.

During this time, I was a Masters student. I studied policy implementation with a particular focus on teacher supervision policies.
