I do not think that she was a tough grader based on the papers that I submitted. On the other hand, she did not grade my first paper until I had written and submitted 4 papers. As a class, we had gotten very little feedback on how we were doing. She did not read nor reply to my emails at all. The myth was that she gives extra credit but I had undergone surgery so I could not participate. Also, she was rude and uncaring.

The material itself was fairly easy and fun for what it is. Professor Page though is very sarcastic and dry. Make sure you don't ask for an explanation or a repeat of a question that she already semi went over, else she will embarrass you to the point you won't ever ask a question again. I agree with other who said that she takes it too seriously for a fluff class.

To summarize this class, consider the following: She assigns frequent essay assignments, and she specifies in the directions that the essay must be at least two pages long. Then she turns around and deducts points because you didn't meet the minimum word count of x number of words, nor did she meet the two-page limit she specified in her instructions.

The material itself was not my problem with this class. Professor Page is very sharp and all-around. She's an unpleasant person to rub shoulders with. I've missed deadlines for a lot of homework, due to a lack of communication about when or if there were changes. Also, she's been absent most of the entire class. In addition, She really doesn't care if you pass or not. So be careful.

People here say that Professor Page is great. Apparently, she has fallen completely since then. I had nothing but unpleasant experiences. I guess she knows that her class is sort of in demand and uses it to her advantage. I would give more examples, but there is a character limit. I suggest you take another class.

Professor Page is very uptight about being late. She makes a class to be unenjoyable. She thinks being one translates to cool or relaxed when it's not. We're all adults so I hope she will be professional. I used this term loosely too. Honestly, my greatest joy is to finish this course and never see her again.

Professor Page is not clear with her assignment outlines, grading criteria, or anything else. She feels very high on her pedestal because she created this course. Well, then congratulations. It doesn't give you the right to be a horrible teacher. What's more, the films she chooses are horrible. I can't stress this enough to take another class.
