Awesome
I really loved Prof. Sutherland's class! He is very funny, smart, understanding, and relatable. His lectures were very clear and entertaining, but it could be quite information heavy. He was able to make the material interesting though. If I have to take another history class, I'll definitely take him again. He is honestly one of my favorite profs so far.
Awesome
Professor Sutherland was a very good professor, and if you weren't exactly a history buff you got to learn tons of interesting things. The tests could be difficult if you weren't one to study, but make a mnemonic device for the dates. Putting in the effort will pass you the class.
Average
Professor Sutherland's class is by far one of the hardest I've taken. However, it was an interesting class. He's very smart too. If you like ancient history and are good at retaining info from lectures, you will do good. But if you're a visual learner, it's hard. The class consists of True or False, multiple choice, timeline and have to write three to four paragraph papers on every test. Just take philosophy.
Awesome
Doctor Sutherland is very knowledgeable and his class was very insane. His lectures were extremely detailed and each unit contains a lot of information. However, if you attend each class and make good grades, the tests were doable though. I'll also take into consideration how he handled the Covid-19 transition, and he did very well for that. Overall, he's a great professor.
Awesome
I loved Professor Sutherland. He's hilarious and made this class a lot of fun to go to. The course itself is a little tricky given its history, which most of us have never learned before. However, it's the most interesting course I've ever taken. The exams are a bit difficult, but you can easily pass them if you study hard. I would also go to SI as much as I could.
