Good
Prof. Sabina gives heavy workload but it's pretty reasonable if you ask!
Awful
I took Anthropology 170 during the spring semester under Professor Perrino. I enjoyed it pretty much, apart from the horrible teacher assistant. So, I took her class again for Anthropology 410, a summer course. Expect a 20 page paper at the end of a month class, with barely any subject material to go off. Despite the class expressing concerns while facing a humanitarian crisis, she's unreasonable.
Awful
At the beginning of the semester, Professor Perrino's class wasn't so bad. However, after the transition to online, there's ton of work to do, just to keep a good grade. The teacher assistant Maggie Hames, had a power trip throughout the semester. During lectures, she deducted points for those students using their phones in class. Her grading criteria was very unclear as well. Even if there were extra credit offered, some of it isn't enough though.
Awful
I took Professor Perrino's class open minded and excited to learn. Now, a semester later, I don't recommend anyone take this class. In addition to having mandatory attendance, she even took points in using phone during lectures. The teaching assistant made the course worse because, it was rude and unhelpful. The grading is hard and will require a lot of work as well.
Poor
AVOID THIS CLASS AT ALL COSTS IF YOU DO NOT NEED IT. It seem simple at first, but achieving an A is super hard and she doesn't seem to care at all. Her lectures are tedious, and her test questions are very specific and random. She wouldn't raise my grade even though I was less than a point away from an A-. Because of a gen ed, my GPA has dropped. I feel like she only grades randomly.
Average
This course has the potential be an interesting class topic. However, Professor Perrino's lectures were boring and heavy. She provided an unclear criteria and grades classification, without any explanation. I would not recommend this class unless you have a better teaching assistant.
Average
Professor Perrino is very kind and unique. However, her expectations were really confusing. Her guidelines for assignments would completely contradict the information she gave in class. Her lectures were just precise repetitions of what we read outside of class. Also, she never gave useful feedback on grading assignments, just did a great job for a grade that wasn't that great. Overall, I really have mixed emotions about her.
