Poor
Professor Kirschvink summed up: theories, number lines, "number sense", "arbitrarily", and "infinitesimally". It was hard to teach myself calculus while attending all of his unhelpful and vague lectures for participation points. If possible, I recommend taking a different professor.
Awful
You'll struggle in his class, if you aren't good with math. Kirschvink is terrible at teaching, he knows his info however only teaches theories, and not how to do the work. He isn't helpful at all, so if you have to take him I recommend you do the sample tests, take notes on everything, and learn from TA's.
Average
I don't think Kirshvink is as horrible as others make him appear. He isn't really good, however there isn't actually a reason why a student can't pass this class. Kirshvink spends 75% of the lesson on the proof, and the other 25% doing a practical problem. The T.A.'s are there to assist you, the MLC will also assist you, and the SI sessions will help you even more.
