including some of the most complex research portfolios within the college of Ag and Life Sciences. This includes a portfolio of over 120 Federal
State and Private research awards and grants. Use PeopleSoft software systems and internal tracking mechanisms to perform independent analysis in making decisions and authorizing actions such as seeking extensions to awards

researching allowability of expenses
initiating and approving journal entries
review and approve invoices
initiating and authorizing project budget revisions and authorize human resource actions. \n\nConducted new-award budget and statement of work reviews. Met with project leaders on a bi-monthly/quarterly basis to provide training and guidance
budget and spending updates and to convey contract requirements
including deliverables and contract timelines. \n\nProvided review and reconciliation of all award activities and expenditures. This included providing monthly updates to project leaders
initiating 90-60-30 day project closeout reminders and taking all necessary actions to ensure award financial compliance prior to closeout submission.\n\nMaintained extensive records on all awards under my management and assisted in the creation of SOP’s to standardize post-award duties and functions.
