I lead initiatives focused on improving student success: through teaching excellence, through the expansion of experiential education, and through data-driven decision making. My portfolio includes the Center for Teaching & Learning, which supports faculty in all aspects of teaching, curricular development, and assessment of student learning. I'm also responsible for providing a vision and supports for expanding experiential education and linking career and academic success. I am also Project Director of STEM Bridges Across Eastern Queens, a large-scale course redesign and cross-campus articulation project (in collaboration with Queensborough Community College), with the primary goal of increasing the number of college graduates with STEM majors who are of Hispanic and low-income backgrounds.
